We lived in these apartments for about six years, as this was all that we could afford at the time. We have had several unpleasant altercations with the landlord, many of which consisted of her screaming, yelling and bei ng absolutely belligerent with us. On multiple accounts, she has made degrading, threatening and rude remarks at entirely unnecessary times. She refuses to allow kids simple toys such as chalk. She refused to address the poor parking situation where tenants had no place to park during the winter and would get towed for parking on the streets. She screamed at a friend of mine who unkowningly parked in a no-parking zone (parked there because there were no open spaces) instead of approaching him with decency like a normal person. Then, completely contradicted herself by parking in a handicapped parking zone with no handicapped registration or card. Then, to make things even better, our water turned a urine yellow color towards the end of our lease. It turned urine yellow and was depositing sediment into the bathtub and killed all of our aquatic pets (fish and turtle). Her husbands solution to this was simply to \"run the bathtub for an hour or two until the water isnt yellow before you shower/bathe each night\" which is entirely impossible with a set of two year old twins. BUT, due to desperation, we listened to his request, which ultimately caused our entire apartment to flood because the drain in the bathtub broke and closed itself, preventing any water from draining. Their solution? Allow us to use the empty unit across the way so we could catch up on laundry that got soaked in the mess of it all.If considering renting from these awful people, I highly advise against it. The rent has gone up significantly over the last several years and the quality of life here is awful. If youre renting from them regardless of this review, hope you dont get 1347 or the unit next to the landlords office, as they both have had extensive water damage that has simply been covered up with new white paint and new carpet. more ... hide ...
