My father has lived in the apartments since 2018 and said that his only regret was not moving out here sooner so that mom could have enjoyed it when she would have been able. The convenience of driving around in the gol f cart, the Village Diner and the activities at the Community Center has given my dad some socializing since we has lost mom and now has made friends here in the Village. The maintenance team have been great to help dad when there is a need and not having to worry about mowing and yardwork has also been great for him. Home Health and outpatient Therapy have been there for him too! A great place for my dad that fits when there is a need. He moved here originally to be closer to my mom when her health failed her and she had to move to the Assisted Living for a short while then into the Nursing Facility. So knowing dad was closer to visit with mom helped the two of them during hard times. more ... hide ...

I was with a resident of the manor a few days ago. We had a thunderstorm that evening. I was with the resident as she was checking her mail which is between the two entrances of the building. So the thunderstorm had made electricity go out. Which is apart of nature yes. However two residents could not get back in building cause the door is electric. I had made call to office after the 5th try I was able to reach someone still am not sure what name she had said when she answered, I had explained I was calling on behalf of one of the residents before I could even say we cant get back inside of building. She says the electricity is out all over and there is nothing I can do about it. I said okay but you can come let us in. She sighed as if she was so upset with such a request. She said well its gonna take me 15 or maybe even 20 min cause I have to use the stairs.Well fortunately someone else was leaving the building so we was able to get in. I and the two residents with walkers took 6 flights of stairs. One resident left walker on ground level and used the railing for guidance up. I carried the other residents walker. One resident had a bad knee and the other resident was in her 80s so remember the part where I said the office lady was to come down in 15 to 20 min?I dont beleive she even did. The two residents rested on each floor so the 20 min had passed. No office lady who manages place to even let the two residents in, who pay a monthly fee to live. This is very aggravating and super uncaring. But my concern here is not just the poor choice of management. But why is there no back up generator? The electricity was not out all over either. But was out there in two buildings with ten floors of eldery or handicapped where stairs in situations like that some maybe cant do.One floor wasnt even lit up with the hallway emergency lights I used my phone to give some light however it wasnt much.I gave 2 stars lack of empathy and safety issues.Sincerely, Concerned more ... hide ...
