i moved in Clinton Towers on October of 2013. The first year was great. I recently moved on August 31, 2015, My experience was not so enthusiastic. I noticed bedbugs in my apartment on May 2015 and getting treatment was another story. Management refused to give me a treatment date. Finally they did for June 2015 after having to taking drastic measures. I stayed out of my apartment all of June due to the treatment and was still charged rent. As a matter of fact I stayed with friends from May-August 31. The day I moved out. i was not sure why I was charged for June, July or August but I did pay the rent without any explanation from management. I sent several letters requesting why I was being charged for June. Communication is terrible. Management unprofessionally shared my confidential information in the office with a maintenance staff. I remained professional throughout this experience, I felt as if I was not treated as a human being. I decided to communicate with them via letter and certified mail as far a my security deposit refund is concerned. Then when I moved in management gave me someone else personal information. I rate my experience with management as 1. more ... hide ...

I wish this location would be a flagship for the YMCA in the area, but its really lagging way behind the suburban locations in terms of being clean and updated. The mens locker room is carpeted, lockers are rusty and sho wers are in one big open room. The weight-room has a decent variety of equipment and they did some work to fix the ceiling, but some of the equipment is outdated or not well maintained - benches have ripped padding, accessories for the cable machine are worn out and theres only one incline bench for free-weights. The cardio area on the top floor is straight out of the 1950s.Theres now been a couple times Ive tried to go this year and its just randomly closed during the day.I will say the staff have always been very friendly and polite, the couple classes Ive been to are great - and the location is very convenient from working downtown. Come on YMCA ... make the downtown Y great again! more ... hide ...
