This new property management company has not plowed and its already noon. My daughter and caregiver has to park on the street, because they are unable to drive up the hill into the parking lot. When you leave voicemails they do not return phone calls. I inquired about a reasonable accommodation 1 1/2 months ago, and they have failed to follow up with me probably due to the fact they lost my tenant file. This is only a small fraction of my complaints. more ... hide ...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. If someone were to ask me if they should live here I would tell them to make sure they look at every available option before coming here.- Safety is not properly accounted for. Several months of domestic abuse was such a problem that the local police had at minimum 2 squad cars parked near Blue Ribbon Lofts (BRL) during the day and increased to 4 squad cars during the evening and nighttime hours. BRL sent out a poorly written up email and paper flyer stating it is aware people do not get along all the time and picked 3 numbers from the nearest therapy locations for the units to use as a resource. This did not help the situation and the police continued to return. BRL then moved a therapist into BRL for free and disclosed the location of her apartment to let all tenants know she was living here.- There is little to no available parking.- You can hear your neighbors by just sitting and listening.- Overall appearance of the community is unsatisfactory where:--smashed car windows, broken bottles, stolen stickers or ripped-off license plates is a problem for multiple tenants within Blue Ribbon Lofts.- Maintenance Staff is seldom accomplishing work requests in a timely fashion. When they do arrive, they are unprepared, distracted, or need to leave to accomplish another task.- Property Staff is unprofessional, disrespectful, unorganized, and greedy.- Garbage removal is poor and unkempt where the smell of garbage saturates up to the third floor. Each unit is disatisfyingly overpriced. For a 2bed 2bath, $1400.00 is required for just barely over 1000 square feet. Each apartment comes with a washer and dryer, but its not technically included within the apartment, thats an extra $50 each month. The priorities of work for the hired employees are more focused on how the hallways are painted rather than fixing the problems within each unit. Management would much rather provide tables and chairs in the open area (that no one will ever waste their time using) than clean the carpeted flooring that is not only wreaking of feces but also seen laying on the carpet and ground throughout the complex. The unit I was living in had a bedroom door that shattered off of the door frame not more than one month into the lease. I asked for a replacement door and there was absolutely no communication for months until I had to ask again by requesting a new door for the 2nd and 3rd time. 7 months later I finally received a working door.Do you want to use the garage parking?; an additional charge coming your way. Yet, dont waste your time again because the open spaces are reserved and there is a waiting list that does not ever change. Trying to park outside instead? Good luck, between the window-smashing, license plate stealing, and car scratching you are better off parking in the parking garage located down the street that is dramatically overpriced as well. Because Blue Ribbon Lofts does not provide outside parking, you will need to contact the city to register for a parking pass or you will get parking tickets every night. While the city is amazing at handing out citations for parking, they cannot seem to figure out why vandalism is so high or why there is broken glass littered across the street or why there are so many incidents where the police are needed to be called. All in all each unit is overpriced for what you get. You will be nickeled and dimed for each part of the apartment minus water. I left for deployment and I was more nervous about my roommate being alone in the building than my own personal safety. None of the work requests I wanted to be done before I left were accomplished and I came home from my deployment with only 1 request being accomplished. I was gone for 9 months. Unsatisfactory. Do not allow yourself to be taken advantage there are better places in Milwaukee where you can get your view and fun of living downtown. more ... hide ...

You have to be a vet to live here, the manager doesnt handle most of the problems brought to his attention because he doesnt live here, so he doesnt really care about the place as anything more than a job. Other than tha t its an apartment building just like any other. Some people you like some you hate. more ... hide ...
