This is the first time I've had experience with Lakeland housing authority, and only the portability specialist has been prompt in responding to my emails. My caseworker and I spoke on the phone twice in one month, and I and the owner sent her severa This is the first time I've had experience with Lakeland housing authority, and only the portability specialist has been prompt in responding to my emails. My caseworker and I spoke on the phone twice in one month, and I and the owner sent her several emails with no response. She then said she never received the emails from the owner, even though I had proof that she received all the documents. I sent this proof to the portability specialist, who was very helpful, but still took too long to get back to me or the owner. I paid the deposit for the apartment and I was informed only inspections occur on Fridays, yet she still failed to update me or the owner if she had received all the documents and sent them to the department that contacts the owner in order to do the inspection. This is very unprofessional. New Jersey's Section 8 program is more efficient. Lakeland housing authority should improve their services and help those in need. Not everyone on Section 8 is a bad person or a product of their environment. My husband is a veteran of the US Army and we both deserve respect, like everyone else. more ... hide ...

We just came all the way from Miami since they dont answer the phone they are very rude We came all the way here just to hear that they receive the papers two weeks ago and didnt do what they where supposed to do
