I moved in September 2013 and requested the Monroe Police and Monroe Housing Authority to take action regarding the drug use and sales; yet, not much has been done. I The office staff are very courteous, but the people in my vicinity are not as such. I moved in September 2013 and requested the Monroe Police and Monroe Housing Authority to take action regarding the drug use and sales; yet, not much has been done. I have also asked them to help with people driving through after hours with loud music and the parking issue. The standards of living mentioned in my lease have not been enforced. My floors require some repairs and there are some other repairs that could be done. There is paint peeling off the walls in some places. This morning, a woman told me that she did not want the police there. She said, "I'm aware that you are the only white lady here who calls the police". I informed her that I did not understand what she was talking about with regards to the white van and music. Her attitude was very unpleasant. She was still yelling as I drove away to work. I thought that this was a place to help people get back on their feet, but some are using it to have more illegitimate babies to remain on the government benefits and hide illegal activities from the police. Despite surveillance cameras, some activities still occur. It is very dissatisfying to be informed about how wonderful a place is and to be told to notify them of any problems, but nothing much changes when I have asked for help.
