Big rapids housing commission is a joke They take forever to accept you and will waste your time The rules are ridiculous just to get in Never heard of such stupid stuff in my life They do NOT like students and will give you the run around

The apartments are nothing luxurious, but they are comfortable. Most of the rooms have tiles with yellow-white flecks, which isn't appealing, but with a couple of big rugs from Walmart or Meijer, it's easy to make it bearable. I've never had an issue with the staff. I am on good terms with all of those I've met, and they all seem very respectful and considerate. Maintenance is quick and effective. I have been living here for four years, and I have not run into any serious issues. These apartments are much better than the dilapidated, shabby houses rented out by other landlords in Big Rapids. The rent determined by income was a blessing, allowing me to finish my last two years at Ferris State and get my degree while raising my daughter. Other complexes are full of college students for most of the year, which means drugs, alcohol, loud noises, and a lot of trouble. Evergreen Village, on the other hand, is a peaceful, family-oriented neighborhood with playgrounds, snow removal service, lawn care, and Hemlock Park in walking distance. To sum it up, although the apartments aren't in the best condition, they offer a great location and plenty of space for families who are looking for a place to stay away from the college scene. more ... hide ...
