When I was able to reach her, she was not pleasant. It is already difficult enough to find a home that accepts this type of assistance, with a lack of landlords participating in the program, seemingly not due to biases against section-8 participants, but instead because landlords cannot reduce rent amounts to meet the price standards of the program. Furthermore, if the paperwork says it will take 10-15 business days for an inspection, why does it take a month? On average, there are 20 working days in a month, making the process worthy of review. There is a lack of transparency in this matter. If those with vouchers spent time looking for a participating landlord or community with availability, and worked another job, assistance would not be necessary.
