I had a Section 8 voucher a few years ago, but they wouldn't extend it before it ended. I couldn't find a new place to live because of a neighbor harassment issue that my previous landlord wouldn't do anything about, and due to the pandemic and the l I had a Section 8 voucher a few years ago, but they wouldn't extend it before it ended. I couldn't find a new place to live because of a neighbor harassment issue that my previous landlord wouldn't do anything about, and due to the pandemic and the loss of my job at that time, I became homeless. They didn't bother to explain to me that I could extend my voucher, and I just received an email saying it was terminated. I had no chance to appeal. Because of their lack of support and help, I had to live in an apartment with poor conditions and almost got evicted because I couldn't pay rent. If they allowed people to reinstate their voucher, this wouldn't have been an issue. Someone told me that they don't like doing that, which is very strange. If you're considering getting assistance, either from them or another agency, don't do it, because they don't care if you have to suffer. Also, the waitlists are very long and you'll be at the bottom. It's better to start your own business or go back to school. more ... hide ...

Spokane Housing is very nice and they help us with rent every month Im grateful for their help

I have had a he of a time with them regarding inspections They first started awhile back and I tried my best I had to move stuff from my parents house into a 1 bedroom apartment fall of last year It would have been so much easier if one person could I have had a he of a time with them regarding inspections They first started awhile back and I tried my best I had to move stuff from my parents house into a 1 bedroom apartment fall of last year It would have been so much easier if one person could qualify for a two bedroom as well I dont agree with having your office space in your livingdiningentry room area or your bedroom Plus they have called my cellphone when it is not my inspection day stopped by when its not my inspection day and offered to find a person to help me organize never came Therefore I am taking a break from them for quite awhile more ... hide ...

I honestly have to say that though Ive never worked at the Spokane Housing Authority I have however worked at the Peninsula Housing Authority years ago Pam Parr was the Executive Director She was always kind thoughtful and fair to everyonenWhen she I honestly have to say that though Ive never worked at the Spokane Housing Authority I have however worked at the Peninsula Housing Authority years ago Pam Parr was the Executive Director She was always kind thoughtful and fair to everyonenWhen she left to be the Director at the Spokane Housing Authority we truly lost a wonderful personnThe employees that worked at the Peninsula Housing Authority either got fired pushed out or they left from working at there It went to Hell in a hand basket fast because of the appointed Executive Director The new director couldnt hold a candle to how Pam was with everyonenWe love Pam and missed her very much Spokane Housing Authority is extremely lucky to have such a Director leading them to a bright future for as long as shes been there Count yourselves very lucky more ... hide ...
