To add to that, I had to fork out $40-$50 for traveling from Detroit to Ann Arbor for paperwork, property viewing, and application fees. I proposed that I be downgraded to a 3-bedroom home because my family and I require a home, but the landlord failed the inspection. I kept in contact with them every week to check on the progress, but they just kept telling me they would call me back after they figured out why the landlord failed the inspection. It is beyond my control that the landlord failed the inspection, and it was plain to see that the low amount I was approved for would not be enough to move to Ann Arbor. Last week, I was told I was denied due to the landlord's failed inspection, and I asked if I could appeal and was informed that it would be of no use since I had passed the extension. This is not fair to me or my children. I lost money in the attempt to find a house, only to be denied in the end. I want to talk to the head of the Ann Arbor Housing Commission. more ... hide ...
