This place is supposed to follow income guidelines, but if you work, they raise your rent to such a high amount that it's almost like paying rent to another house. They also lock your thermostat, which is supposed to save you money, but actually ends up costing you a couple of hundred extra dollars in utilities even if you're not employed. If you get an eviction and pay, they put it on your credit report to make sure you can't rent again, essentially ensuring that families remain homeless after departing from Statesville Housing. If you are working, they raise rent to around $700 a month; however, if you only get $400 a month in child support and you're not working, they still raise the rent to an unfair amount. This housing is a scam and the government should investigate it to see how many families they have caused to be evicted and made homeless when they should be helping them. My income is only $400 in child support, and my stove is broken. They charged me $600 for the stove, yet I'm not working, so how can I afford that? It's as if people in the offices are stealing money from low-income residents by raising their rent so high; they even raised rent to an outrageous $1,700 a month! Its affordable You wont have heat though They took the thermostat set it to 72 so it cant go any higher nIn winter time Its cold ash in here they say they cant fix it even with a set temperature at 72 its 65 in my apartment
