Even though there are limited parking spots, I have always managed to find one whenever I'm there because they are efficient with their customers. The Housing Authority of the City of High Point (HPHA) was established in January 1940 in compliance with the North Carolina State General Statutes and the U.S. Housing Act of 1937. The HPHA is run by a board of seven commissioners and provides decent, safe, and sanitary housing for low-income citizens. They administer 1,146 units funded by the Public Housing program, 1,812 tenant based Section 8 housing choice vouchers, and 101 units through the Section 8 New Construction program. Moreover, they offer housing counseling, the Public Housing Capital Fund Program (CFP), Congregate Housing Supportive Services, HOPE VI Grants, an Affordable Housing Program, an Upward Mobility Program, and Resident and Supportive Services. more ... hide ...
