My partner and I moved in two months ago and have had problems with one of the apartment staff since the very beginning. He has always been very impolite and one time we discovered him entering our apartment, since it took us a while to get to the door (probably he thought we weren't home). This latest incident was the last straw for us! We are expecting our first child in August, so we bought a house and are refurbishing it for our son Elliot. I told the apartment guy about our thirty day notice and he left very angry and extremely impolite (like always). The next day we went to check on the progress of our new house, we left the apartment door unlocked and the key in its usual location, because we didn't plan on staying very long. When we returned, we had been locked out! My fianc© had to break through a window and the key was also missing! I know this was not a break in, since nothing was taken or moved apart from the key. If you're considering finding a place to rent in the Spruce Pine area, there are plenty of other excellent options, Walnut Avenue Apartments are NOT one of them!
