I am in full agreement with what others are saying. Living here is great! It is no different from other apartment complexes, only the rent is meant to assist those that work hard, have kids, experienced financial hardship or cannot seem to catch a br I am in full agreement with what others are saying. It is no different from other apartment complexes, only the rent is meant to assist those that work hard, have kids, experienced financial hardship or cannot seem to catch a break when attempting to raise a family but cannot pay for utilities, trash collection, water bills, auto insurance, etc. The personnel are friendly, from those in the office to those that make sure the repairs in your apartment are satisfactory. Most people are battling to make ends meet and the Mount Airy housing authority is willing to help and give support. I wish they had not cancelled the various community classes for those who must do community service while unemployed, but they do provide information on other potential job opportunities. Keep up the good work! Those who are difficult to please and have a lack of respect criticize, but those of us that are grateful to have a place to live such as this, we say THANK YOU!!! Ive lived here for a long time first with my 2 boys and now by myself I rember when it was realy bad open drug deals on the streets people were scared to even drive threw decent people were harrassed by others they have worked realy hard to clean thi Ive lived here for a long time first with my 2 boys and now by myself I rember when it was realy bad open drug deals on the streets people were scared to even drive threw decent people were harrassed by others they have worked realy hard to clean this place up and I applied them for it Yes there are rules and they will kick you out if you dont follow them but that is a blessing I am alone now and feel safe would never have lived here several years ago was to dangerous These rules are put in place for a reason and alot of them are mandatory from the state not them presonalyi wouldnt live anywhere else I personally want to thank the staff for there diligent work and caring for our safty God bless you more ... hide ...

The staff was very helpful in answering my questions but I thought the housing authority was put in place to help people find a place to live so they can get back on their feet But if you have no income you are at the bottom of the list of gaining he The staff was very helpful in answering my questions but I thought the housing authority was put in place to help people find a place to live so they can get back on their feet But if you have no income you are at the bottom of the list of gaining help They will take people with income before they do no income families so all these one families that have lost job have no chance to get out of the rut That is probably why the opioid crisis is at it worst in surry county Because they have to survive whether or not they get their help with housingThats probably why we have so many homeless people on the street not just in this county put in others more ... hide ...
