Submit by: Hieu Nguyen Message: The Spartanburg Housing Authority (SHA) is opening its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for Working Families on a limited basis, specifically on October 19, 2023, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm ET, for a single day. To submit an application during this brief window, individuals must apply in person at the SHA office, located at 170 Arch Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303. This waiting list primarily prioritizes working families who can verify their employment status with a track record of working 30 or more hours per week for a consecutive six-month period. Unfortunately, the article does not provide information about the specific method used to prioritize applicants on the waiting list. This opportunity allows working families in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to potentially access housing assistance through the Section 8 program, although more details about the selection process may be announced by the SHA.
