My case worker referred me to this agency for the Learn program, which is supposed to help people with mental health issues secure employment. My case worker referred me to this agency for the Learn program, which is supposed to help people with mental health issues secure employment. After submitting a fifteen-minute application, I had to go through a twenty-five-minute intake interview during which I was asked a multitude of questions, such as what my employment impediments are. I wasn't expecting to be handed a job, but I thought they would offer some assistance since they are focused on a particular sector. I inquired about job fairs, networking, internships, on-the-job training, and interviewing and all I was told is they could only send me job postings they found on Indeed. Just because I suffer from depression and anxiety doesn't mean I'm illiterate; I possess a bachelor's, associate's, diploma and certificate. After three weeks, I was seen as a problem for not getting employed despite the pandemic. They provided no help with job obstacles. My mental health was so affected my therapist urged me to discontinue the program. I didn't get a response from my representative or even a goodbye and no survey was issued, demonstrating that the program and the county don't care, and taxpayers' money is being wasted on this ineffectual organization. more ... hide ...
