People often think that those who rent from them are uneducated or illiterate, but this is not always true. I know some hard-working families and have been lucky enough to have kind neighbors, but there are many people who take advantage of the services the Housing Authority provides and they do nothing to stop it. I have reported fraudulent activity to the manager and the main office many times, but they always ignore me and call me a whiner. The personnel seem to treat us tenants as if we're not important. I have sent complaints in various forms, such as typing, hand-writing, and email, but nothing has ever been taken into consideration. My family and I have seen illegal activities over the years, but the Housing Authority does nothing. I am grateful to HUD for hearing my complaints and I will be writing an official letter of complaint to them about the Housing Authority's management. As of Jun 10 2021 the offices are still closed to the public citing COVID19 restrictions They are also closed every other Friday I wasnt able to determine if they would be open the following Friday or not

Even though this has been a difficult time with Covid19 the Housing Authority in Salinas have been very accommodating by phone andor email I am very impressed and very thankful for the help I have received
