I recently had to sell my house in LaSalle, Watonwan County because of the poor and dishonest treatment I have received from their Human Services, specifically from Jody Halverson. In the process, she told me that I had multiple months to reduce my a I recently had to sell my house in LaSalle, Watonwan County because of the poor and dishonest treatment I have received from their Human Services, specifically from Jody Halverson. In the process, she told me that I had multiple months to reduce my assets from the sale of my house before it would affect my benefits, which was incorrect information. She misled me by giving me false information when it is her job to give me the right information about the programs I am on and asset limits. She has been trying to get me off of programs I qualify for since she became my caseworker and has even gotten a state employee named John P who oversees the MSA program to assist her in this deception, making him an accessory to fraud. They even went as far as to count money I literally did not have in my possession as a capital gain asset to determine I was over income and kicked me off of a program. This is clearly fraudulent and illegal behavior; they literally made up a dollar amount over the dollar amount I was given at closing and claimed it as money/income when I genuinely did not have that much money in my possession at any time. They did this without presenting any documentation or requesting for any information. My experience with Watonwan Human Services is that they act fraudulently and with prejudice against people with disabilities that they do not understand. more ... hide ...
