It'In two years of living at Sterling Point, my only encounter with pests was an ant infestation a few months ago. I reported it to the office and an exterminator showed up quickly to take care of the problem. Since then I have not seen another bug. It's odd to read reviews about roaches and scorpions when I haven't experienced any of that. Additionally, I am sad that some staff members who had been so helpful and kind to me since my first visit have since left the property. Nevertheless, I am delighted to call this place home and look forward to continuing to do so in the future.more ...hide ...

My 86 year old mother lives in this apartment complex and has for years. Recently over the last two months there has been some management issues. No manager to contact, can€™t leave voicemail it€™s full, no emergencyMy 86 year old mother lives in this apartment complex and has for years. Recently over the last two months there has been some management issues. No manager to contact, can€™t leave voicemail it€™s full, no emergency maintenance number. My moms first apt flooded due to water heater pipe burst. She moved to another vacant apt on second floor. This apt leaks every time it rains. Big water bubble in the kitchen ceiling. Management says they will fix but upper VOA management still haggling over cost of replacing the entire roof because it€™s been an issue for awhile and they don€™t want to spend the money to repair: just patchwork that doesn€™t work. Tonight I had to call the Phoenix Fire Dept to check the water bubble in the kitchen ceiling because I couldn€™t get ahold of maintenance. No numbers anywhere. All the apartments and all maintenance in the building needs inspection and repair. It is a hazard to the elderly residents that live there. Photos taken on 09-18-2021.more ...hide ...

Instead, the office acted as if it was my error and I had to bear the burden of paying for movers twice and storing my items for one night while they "completed" the apartment. Upon moving in, we encountered missing fixtures in the restroom, unfinished flooring, exposed nails in cupboards, unpainted walls, unsealed windows, cracks in the door frame, and crevices in the walls. Additionally, the complex has a problem with roaches, which we have been dealing with since we moved in. Furthermore, there is a significant pigeon issue due to one of the neighbors providing them with food. The "manager" has terrible communication skills and provides no help unless pushed. I strongly suggest that anyone having to live here documents everything. I have already taken pictures and put everything in writing. This is because the manager declared on the first day that "we don't document anything". The maintenance staff is mediocre, likely because the "manager" doesn't want to pay them. At this point, it appears my only recourse is to hire a lawyer.more ...hide ...
