After one year, the basic features of Grandon Village, a 55+ independent community, remain excellent; however, with a new management team in place since August 2018, rents have substantially increased, the area is less clean, more dogs bark at all ti After one year, the basic features of Grandon Village, a 55+ independent community, remain excellent; however, with a new management team in place since August 2018, rents have substantially increased, the area is less clean, more dogs bark at all times, younger, noisier people live there, and fewer senior services are offered. Originally, the manager Kathryn was knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous, and seemed to enjoy her job. After five months, the complex was deemed phenomenal and included numerous amenities such as large, well-equipped kitchens, extra large bathrooms, air conditioning and heating, balconies (size may vary), three buildings with three floors and underground parking, outdoor parking for tenants and visitors, extra storage, laundry rooms on every floor, an elevator, a full community center with a TV, pool, and activities, access to public transportation, and being within walking distance to shopping, banks, restaurants, small businesses, postal services, and medical offices. I was very impressed with the Manager Kathryn at Grandon Apartments in June of last year I was relocating to San Marcos CA I had left a message at her office and she called me back I had already obligated myself to another Apartment complex in San I was very impressed with the Manager Kathryn at Grandon Apartments in June of last year I was relocating to San Marcos CA I had left a message at her office and she called me back I had already obligated myself to another Apartment complex in San Marcos CA when she called but we had a very good conversation we talked about putting me on a waiting list in case things didnt work out she answered all my questions and I really appreciated her help after moving to San Marcos I found I couldnt afford the Apartment I had obligated myself to and called Kathryn again to see if anything was available yet and she was very accommodating and eventually helped me get into an Apartment at Grandon any concerns or issues I had she was right on it I am very happy here at Grandon and Kathryn is a very professional and caring person I would highly recommend living here more ... hide ...
