We were renting a one bedroom for two adults, one child, and a three month old baby, and we asked for a two bedroom at an affordable rate, but were offered the market price of $2250.00, even though we still qualified. We have been living here since 2012 and have asked the city to look into our situation, however, we are still waiting for their response. Maintenance is terrible. I called about a broken faucet and hot water in the shower, but after three months I had to call them again. It never got fixed and the walls in the living room started to grow mold. It took them five months to fix it. The same thing happened with the windows; when it rains, water leaks in the kitchen and the room and this has been the case for a few years. The management sent a letter to all the tenants saying that they would install CCTV in 2014 for safety, but this never took place. There have been cases of vandalism, car break-ins, stolen license plates, and one tenant's unit was almost burglarized, but the city didn't help us.
