The ceilings are low, there is little natural light, and the area feels very cramped with limited pathways. Additionally, parking is a considerable distance away from the unit. I had to find this out when I arrived and therefore chose not to take the unit, but I was still SCAMMED for the visit. They charged me $100 and stated they would return it if I wasn't interested in the unit. However, they never gave me the $100 cashier's check back. The Staff/Manager:Be aware of this SCAM. They will ask for a blank $100 cashier's check as well as a $25 check made out to the apartment complex. They will claim that the $100 will be reimbursed if you do not wish to rent the space after visiting it for the first time. They take you to their office and collect the checks and then take you to the unit. After you express your lack of interest, they will tell you the $100 will be returned to you. This, however, isn't true since I never got my $100 back. This was a complete SCAM.Message to the Community:Prior to handing over the blank $100 cashier's check, please ensure you have viewed the unit. Because by the time you have left the office and returned after seeing the unit, more ...hide ...

Elderly residents are subjected to abuse, harassment, and even threats that they will be forced out onto the street if they receive assistance from their grandchildren. Parking is limited and vehicles may be towed away without warning. Favoritism towards certain residents is rampant and legal action is being taken. It is strongly advised to avoid this location. Despite the attractive exterior, with well-trimmed hedges and timely gardeners, there is a 'Mean Girls' dynamic between some of the elderly occupants and a group of 'thugs' associated with the management. These individuals have been observed drinking alcohol in the vicinity of the office and driving recklessly. The Gardens at Ironwood is a 'highschool for the elderly, next to the dump' and should be avoided.more ...hide ...

I moved my mom into a cottage and was impressed by how nice the homes look. Everything appears to be well maintained and its a close walk to downtown Pleasanton. My mom seems to be happy living here in her new home.
