Then the on-site manager kathy Santana began extorting money from tenants, threatening to evict them if they refused to pay. So I filed a lawsuit against her and fair housing refused to help or even look into the situation there. Didnt know at the time I was taking on the Irvine Company. No need to explain the outcome of that.more ...hide ...

I renewed my lease and decided to go into a bigger unit. Three month into my new apartment my family and I have come across some challenges with my upstairs neighbor. They have been extremely loud at late hours of the night. To the point where my 3 yr old son and I have had to sleep in our living to avoid the noises which are directly above our bedroom. The noises consist of yelling between a man and a woman and of slamming doors as well as moving of furniture . This has been consistent every week now. It always happens between midnight and 2am. I have called the IPD and have also called the security on site. As well as notifying the leasing office. I have emails and have documented this very precisely. The disappointing part of all this, is that the leasing office tells me that I have to keep calling security so that there is a report on file. Mind you that during this time, staff is unable to enter the homes which makes it harder to verify my concerns. The only thing that security can do is verify noises from the outside. Which makes it even more difficult to verify when being on the outside. How can you hear the noises that are taken place above my bedroom from the outside? From what I gathered, there has been other complaints about the same neighbor. Which is very disappointing that a neighbor who can not follow and respect the rules of the community is allowed to continue being so disrespectful. Also, after talking with a neighbor, her family had a similar experience with the leasing office that I am having. Due to that, they will not be renewing their lease. Its unfortunate that this community is losing good tenants over a neighbor who cant respect the policy.more ...hide ...
