However, when I went to her place last month to help her move, we found hundreds of them behind her couch. We carried some of her belongings downstairs since the infestation was so bad. She had to throw away a lot of food since she couldn't bear the thought of cockroaches crawling in it while she cooked. After the technician sprayed, the situation only got worse since the chemicals seemed to attract more of them. There was always a terrible stench in the hallways like garbage. I felt really sorry for her having to live in such conditions, and the rent was exorbitant for what she had to put up with. Bad neighborhood too; people were always fighting.
