The good has been that it is a start to gaining oneself independence, getting back on oneself feet, and having a place to lay my head at night. They offer supportive services for those whom need it, ( Mental health. As well as medical services, management and the counselors are supportive and understanding to your immediate needs. Also what else is great is that as you grow and gain your independence your offered a Section 8 Voucher which you can take with you to any state in the United States. All that is required from oneself is that you comply with some simple requirements such as attend groups, which they offer many, attend community house meetings, meet with your caseworker and keep your unit clean your nose out of trouble in the building (as well as on the streets and I say the streets because sometime life with test your strength and commitments to living a fruitful purposeful life.) The bad of residing at The St. George is that, everyone might not be as productive and strong minded such as yourself and some residence will try their hardest to see you not succeed and wish you to fail. Whether it is their intentions its best that you keep to yourself and do not share you business with any of the residences. Trust me on that. The program is offered for anyone who want it, all that is required from you is a willingness to give it a try. You actually can be a productive part of society and if you so choose you never have to look back to your past and/or go back to a life of homelessness, unhappyness, depression, hunger or misery. Its pretty much all up to you, they offer you a clean unit with running hot and cold water some units have full bathrooms some with half bathroom (sink, toilet), and some units have no toilet they do have community showers and bathrooms as well as a community Kitchen at your convenience all units have refrigerators, a twin size bed a closet, good city views and vaulted ceilings. Your immediate community consist of a working class society with median income ranging from $65k and up a year. There are good restaurants from cheap to expensive depending on your taste, your walking distance to all public transportation whether it be rail, shuttle or bus to any municipal city of your choice. One thing you must understand, Skid Row Housing and Trust(St. George Hotel \"Apartments\") is a stepping stone to get your life on track, it is not designed for you to become complacent, its main objective is to help you gain independence and self worth so that you may move forward with your life and moving forward will give someone else maybe once like me or you a chance that you received at The St. George Hotel \"Apartments\" to attain self worth and purpose and a safe place to eat sleep and stay clean every night and everyday..Rollinsmore ...hide ...
