Large openings in windows and doors permit outside noise, wind, and dirt to come in. A loud noise from the stove vent can be heard when the wind blows, and a humming/buzzing sound from machinery inside the walls reverberates throughout the apartment. Cold air also comes through wall outlets, contrary to the building's energy efficiency promotion. There is a high turnover rate for onsite management and maintenance personnel, and calls are often not returned or the office is closed. Children run and scream in hallways and on the play yard and sometimes even defecate and urinate on the walkways and in elevators. Residents can smell weed and alcohol coming through the vents. Calls to the main property management have been made, but the only response has been a referral to the onsite manager, and sometimes no response at all. Maintenance is addressed quickly at the onsite office, but I am still waiting for a resolution. Nearby shopping is like being on Skid Row, with drug addicts and homeless people present. This is the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. I was told my rent would decrease after 3 months due to my income range, but that never happened. I was also led to believe there would be a beer garden in the lower retail space, but this never came to fruition. I am a well-educated and employed individual who expected a great living experience near midtown, but that was not more ... hide ...
