There were many people with mental health issues who did not have anyone to lean on. Uninvited visitors would come into my apartment when I was even in bed without clothing. The inspection of the residence was every three months, whether or not I was present, and the hallways reeked of urine. Initially, when I moved in, there were mice, but nothing was done. Consistently, police and ambulances would be at the location due to the crazy people or substance abusers. My neighbors were using meth, and the smoke drifted up to my bedroom one day while I was sleeping, causing me to vomit. Additionally, there were alcoholics, and when I moved in, I was promised to receive my Section 8 voucher but that was not the case - I had to request a different voucher. Although I was able to go anywhere, the process to get the voucher was a struggle since they increased my rent and not my group's. A few people from my group were unable to handle it and left. Furthermore, the office staff and the security guards spoke badly about people, and we were threatened with eviction if we said anything negative about the place. more ... hide ...
