My family and I recently moved to the area, and I was thrilled to find that there was a YMCA so close to our house. My kids had previously been enrolled at the Greater Valley YMCA, which was fantastic. However, I had a terrible experience with the da My family and I recently moved to the area, and I was thrilled to find that there was a YMCA so close to our house. My kids had previously been enrolled at the Greater Valley YMCA, which was fantastic. However, I had a terrible experience with the daycare center, which led to me having to move my children to another center within a month. I won't go into details, but this center doesn't even meet basic state standards for incident reporting. As for the activity center, my eldest daughter was interested in taking swim classes. The woman at the front desk was incredibly unfriendly when we asked about classes; she gave us very little information, was unable to provide us with a schedule, and told us to look online for classes. The following week, my husband took my daughter to open swim, but the woman at the front desk gave him an attitude and almost insulted him because he'd been given the wrong info about open swim. We haven't been back since, which is a real shame considering all the activities that had caught our interest. I'm hoping they can get some staff who better reflect the YMCA's values. more ... hide ...
