I've been living in this place for nine years, and the tenants have mostly been quite good, but then the bottom of the barrel start showing up. Forty percent of the people here are with HUD, meaning it's low-income housing. The laundry room is disgusting, and when I reported being attacked by a neighbor, the manager couldn't care less; her response was that if she heard anything else from either of us, we would both be evicted. She also makes up her own rules and has been known to misappropriate funds from HUD by increasing the rent that HUD recipients have to pay. I've never been in the pool in nine years because there's a sign saying that if you've had diarrhea, you should not enter the pool. There are also other signs up which must have been put there as a result of some incident. According to Florida law, the pool should be completely drained, but this has never been done. I believe the pool is probably fine, but I'm not willing to take my chances. Additionally, the gate to the property has never worked in the nine years I've been here, yet we're still charged $75 for a new gate pass and $75 if a bag of garbage is left outside the dumpster. We've had to make a choice between leaving our garbage in our apartment or risking the $75 charge. Where does that money actually go? It's funny how the manager, who works in low-income housing, can affordmore ...hide ...
