Manatee Springs State Park is a unique part of the Florida state parks system. Recently, they've implemented a new system, which is proving to be difficult for people to use. Recently, they've implemented a new system, which is proving to be difficult for people to use. When reservations are made, they don't seem to be honored, and if you don't make a reservation, you're placed in an undesirable site, even though much of the park is empty. I originally intended to visit the springs, but upon arriving, I found them to be filled with non-campers who were drinking, which is prohibited in the park unless you buy it from the snack bar. I have been to many state parks in the US, and whoever is running this park system should consult someone about narcissism. Despite all this, the deer roam freely through the campgrounds. I won't be returning, as I still need a vacation. Additionally, there were a lot of unregistered campers. The park provides emergency services, but you can't make outgoing calls, and there's no free TV service or cable. Furthermore, there's no signal on your phone. If you like this kind of thing, have fun, but it seems to me that parks were originally created to preserve nature. Whoever took the photos must have done so when the park was closed, as it looks more like a cash cow.more ...hide ...
