The manager was talking to someone else and was slow to answer the door to the office upon my knocking. She wasnt dressed professionally so it was hard to determine which person was the office manager. The one lady (manager) just stood in the doorway and didnt invite me into the room and was very dismissive when I asked about apartment availability. I was told there was a 3 YEAR WAITING LIST. She gave me an application an closed the door.more ...hide ...

It is a secure building, although some residents let people in who do not belong here. Homeless people are frequently found sleeping in various commpon areas. There are on-site residents who work after hours as Hall Monitors for courtesy patrol, welfare checks, and lock out service. However, the place has an abundance of issues, perphaps due to the rush to rebuild and choosing workers with poor work ethics. It takes forever to get work orders completed. Ive had three work orders in for five months only to be told \"Were working on it.\" Half of the maintenence crew can often be found finding out in closets and back rooms throughout the building. The only time real work is completed is when pressured by the head office in New York or by HUD.Although the apartments are for the elderly and disabled, the management does not accommodate those with disabilities as required by law, even with simple and reasonable requests.more ...hide ...
