For the most part I have never had any issues with security here The biggest issues arenn1Poor or lack of office communication these people do not answer the phones when you enter you are not greeted nor acknowledged by the associates who are rude aFor the most part I have never had any issues with security here The biggest issues arenn1Poor or lack of office communication these people do not answer the phones when you enter you are not greeted nor acknowledged by the associates who are rude and unprofessional Also management does not get back with you nor do they resolve your concernsnn2The rent increases once or sometimes twice a yearnn3Management has had two managers in the last year Melissa was rude and so unprofessional Maria sends notices to residence of being charged a cancellation fee for pest control Last month I was shocked to get that letter on my door She is making all kinds of weird rules and adding more limitations on the residents ability to enjoy the community which has been robbed from us since COVID There was no formal introduction of this new manager into our communitynn4 Me and my family have been living at Captiva for several years and as a Hispanic woman noticed that they only hire Latinos They have a wonderful associate manager who is pleasant has a heart for the residents who is nonhispanic and I have seen her there for years she is the only person in the office who has gotten things done It is weird how she is not the manager there and we thought she would have actually succeeded Martha as a manager Captiva Cove corporate offices ought to be ashamed of discriminating Not to mention they never hire Asians Blacks and Arabs in their office There are 3 Latin females and one white womannn5 Like I said I never had issues with security here but one thing I notice a lot more of is the standards and quality changing at Captiva More and more people are hanging outside in front of the buildings other peoples cars and in the apartment hallways They sometimes play their music and talk outside loudly it feels like a ghetto sometimes For years me and my husband have made several complaints about the noise but Martha never did anything It got even so bad to sleep during the day or at night because these people would constantly slam their doors in and out every few minutes and management never addressed nor did anything they are just talk They do not conduct their business affairs as other apartment leasing offices due because it is low incomenn6 They come to your apartment without enough notice and they think that placing a notice the day before is 24 hours and sufficient They feel that just because it is low income they have a right to control our lives and belongings Give us a 37 days of a notice They always give you ranges when they are coming but never do you find that they will say we are coming to building 1 on Thursday between X and Y time it is always we are going to be performing inspections the week of This leaves you as a resident in limbo and feeling as if we have no control over our home schedule and privacynn7For long term residents they do not offer to change our carpets or repaint small areas after x amount of years as I have experience with other apartments prior to captivamore ...hide ...
