DO NOT MOVE HERE I dont recommend this place to anyone at all Please do not move here You will regret it after a month The things Im going through even after moving out isnt worth the headache to anyone else So please read and I highly suggest going DO NOT MOVE HERE I dont recommend this place to anyone at all Please do not move here You will regret it after a month The things Im going through even after moving out isnt worth the headache to anyone else So please read and I highly suggest going someplace elsennJanuary 2018 I reached out to management about getting a unit That should have been my first sign to just look elsewhere But at the time I had to move out of my previous residence with short notice and was desperately trying to move into my unit by February I filled out the application and the ladies in the office worked extremely slow We advised them of our move in date and they told us they would have something available by then But they hadnt processed our application on time and we were forced to stay in a hotel for a few days After moving in we stumbled upon so many other issues and we needed them to fix it right away Their response time was very slow Afterward we started seeing roaches appearing in so many areas in our unit They did nothing to fix the infestation We had no choice but to get use to it until our lease was up But before then we noticed a change in management and office staff In our last couple of months living there they put us in eviction status a couple of time because they misplaced our rent payment After showing them proof of payment they were able to sort out the issue and found our payment Afterward we finally gave them notice of our intent to move out I sent the notice to the manager Melvin who responded and had no issues with us leaving All he told me in my email was that I would need to turn in the key and they would send me a final bill once I have him my forwarding address The day I moved out I went into the leasing office to turn in my key Melvin just told me to put the keys in an envelope with the forwarding address Nothing else was said and he wished me a good day Fast forward a couple of weeks later and I get a call from the leasing office from the complex next door asking me about my rent payment I advised them how I had moved out and had already notified Melvin the manager at the Fields of me moving out and how I returned the key I even explained to them how I gave him a forwarding address for any final bills for any balances that may be due I followed up a couple of days later to make sure everything was ok and the manager there told me things were sorted and fine with my account Now fast forward a month later and now Im getting calls from a collection agency about a balance thats due for the The Fields The person claiming to be trying to collect the funds was extremely rude stating I needed to pay her this small balance I told her I would reach out to management in the Fields about it and she then said they would just send my inquiry back to her So now Im having to deal with this situation and have to figure out who I need to call in regards to my account with The Fields Theyve handled this whole thing very poorly and now it seems like I will have a collection item on my credit report that shouldnt even be there to begin with Im very upset about this at this time I may even look into getting a lawyer about Lincoln Property since they are who owns The Fieldsmore ...hide ...
