The police were called, and I told the apartment manager what happened, but got no response. This was a very stressful event, yet she acted like it was no big deal. After this, I was relentlessly harassed by the apartment manager - she did at least 8 apartment checks in a single month, rummaging through my belongings and mail. I put in my 30 days notice and got out of there. Later, I had other neighbors come up to me saying that the apartment manager was convinced I was dealing drugs and smoking marijuana in my apartment (which I would never do, as I have a family to worry about and do regular drug tests for my job). A week later, I heard from them again, saying that the apartment manager had gone through the gentleman's apartment below me, since he was moving out, and found pipes and marijuana. She apparently was shocked, as she had assumed it was me using them in my own apartment. I felt so violated and disrespected, all because of her assumptions!
