The apartment I have at Eastbury East is fantastic, but the rest of the property leaves much to be desired. In addition to being full of stains and filth in the hallways, there was even a rotting turkey! It seemed like every few weeks someone would discard their rubbish right in the parking lot and it would stay there for days. Mason Properties claims that it's a safe, family-oriented location, yet I'm constantly greeted with weed smells and loud party music from my neighbors shouting at each other in the middle of night. Despite me talking to them multiple times about potential solutions nothing has been done; they just tell me to call police or make up stories about putting a note on people's doors when they don't even do that! Before moving here I did read some reviews with similar complaints but assumed those were exaggerated by people who owed money or something along those lines - which isn't true for me as I'm generally quite reserved and quiet; all I wanted was a place near my job without college students partying all around me. Unfortunately this isn't right spot for me as it could be really nice if Mason Properties employees weren't apathetic NIU students themselves - making it an unattainable goal.more ...hide ...

Personal choice, dignity, privacy, and individuality are emphasized. The Department of Healthcare and Family Services has obtained a \"waiver\" to allow payment for services that are not routinely covered by Medicaid. These include personal care, homemaking, laundry, medication assistance, social and health activities, recreation, and 24-hour staff to meet residents scheduled and unscheduled needs. The resident is responsible for paying the cost of room and board at the facility.\"more ...hide ...

I couldn't stand the thought of her being scared and confused in a shared room 24/7, so my husband and I found this small house and we had a wonderful time with her during her last year with Alzheimer's. It's a good thing that my landlord is selling, as it's hard to move on and make a fresh start without my mom and marriage here.
My youngest daughter and her three small children live close to Amber Manor, so I am confident that I can start a new life. When Kyla called me on Monday and told me about the big one bedroom place, showed me a video link, and said I could keep my furry pet companions, I felt so relieved and grateful. I'm sending in my paperwork and documents tomorrow, and I'm really pleased with the good reviews I've been reading. It sounds like the usual problems a large complex has, but there's just so much to do and so little time. I'm thrilled that I will be moving in on June 1st to a space that's 200 square feet bigger, and I'll be spending less money for all the services included — snow removal, lawn care, garbage, sewer, gas, and electricity. I'm sure the financial stress will be lifted. Thank you, Kyla! Here are some pictures of my furry pandemic pals.more ...hide ...
