Keeler has recently switched to the university wide eduroam system for internet access and this has been a disastrous decision. Ethernet connections to apartment Wi-Fi no longer allow for activities such as accessing university websites, licensing software like Microsoft Office and others. Furthermore, untethered devices are now substantially slower than before, causing me numerous issues with conducting my research as I can't edit large files on my laptop or desktop. Additionally, the door lock system has been changed to UCards, seemingly to comply with some university mandate, which is also a mistake. Instead of the former single-handed process of entering the building and room, it now requires two hands and two keys – physical apartment keys and UCard – making it very inconvenient to bring in groceries, for example. What's most frustrating is that these alterations were made without cause. The apartment was perfectly fine in the first year I lived here, but all the features it had have since been taken away, making life more difficult for the residents, just to satisfy university orders. Thus, I won't be returning for another year and I strongly advise students against living in this building. more ... hide ...

With the university taking over the property Keeler has really improved The staff is amazing great location on campus but also next to dinkytown and the place has really been updated

The staff is all really wonderful and slay the game I dont think there is a better place to live on the U of M campus There are also a lot of amenities within Keeler that are top of the line Love this place

Overpriced apartment with cheap appliances that dont last the full year Most Ethernet ports didnt work and the building itself felt cheaply made Not worth paying for the location
