Why? 1) security 2) downtown 3)within walking distance to bus terminal. 4) Pantry monthly 5)Nice Community room, washers and dryers, pool table, vending machines, etc.Why only 3 stars. The security system has been down for 4 years now. So many restrictions to community room, washers and dryers broke down more often than not. The pool table needs felt replaced and table leveled. I do like my apartment very much however.more ...hide ...

And I had some very inconsiderate, loud neighbors. There was always trash thrown on the ground, and the mailroom was always a big mess. Otherwise, it is what you make of it. I kept to myself so I had no real issues.more ...hide ...

We're able to go to the Botanical gardens, bowling alleys, movies, and strolls along the Riverfront and more! Our activities assistant is incredible! She instructs us how to cook, does arts and crafts with us, and is constantly a great listener. She puts in a lot of effort on spa day in order to take care of as many people as possible. One resident has long hair and is partially paralyzed on one side, making it hard for her to get assistance washing and braiding her hair. Yet, it still gets done on spa day with a full room waiting for their turn. We have some great aides. Latima will do whatever you ask her to, even if it means she has to stay past her shift. T is also very good at making people smile. Our new aide Malika is incredible! She is the only one who helps me with laundry, despite my shoulder injury and doctor's orders. Even though I've been asking for months, the other aides don't want to help. Unfortunately, there are some aides who don't care about the residents. They don't talk to anyone, don't answer requests, and don't provide any help. Calling the building number only gets you a recording saying they're only there for the paycheck.more ...hide ...
