We had to find a safe place that would provide Alzheimer€™s dementia care and this was the only location that allowed us to come and view it. We had to find a safe place that would provide Alzheimer€™s dementia care and this was the only location that allowed us to come and view it. They mentioned they had an Alzheimer's/dementia program with activities and staff, which turned out to be a lie. Since she has been there, there has been massive staff turnover and no communication of what is going on or what my mom is doing daily. When Covid lockdown started in October, we could not get through by phone or keep appointments for visits or FaceTime calls. The administrator's attitude was dismissive when I spoke with her. In February when we got into the memory care floor, it looked like a ghost town - empty rooms with no activity whatsoever for the residents; just 2 "care-techs" serving food, taking out garbage and helping with toilet needs - nothing more than basic necessities! My mother has declined so much within these 7 months which made me wonder if it was due to lack of interaction/stimulation etc... Steer clear of this place if you want your loved one treated with dignity as this is barely custodial care - neglect would be an accurate term! Im happy to see the community is coming back to its old self After visiting last week I can see a positive change with the staff and residents Front desk was very kind and offered me water or coffee The new executive director came out to talk with me Im happy to see the community is coming back to its old self After visiting last week I can see a positive change with the staff and residents Front desk was very kind and offered me water or coffee The new executive director came out to talk with me to see how I was doing along with checking on the wellbeing of my family I saw a large group of residents enjoying themselves in the bistro Much different from how it was a few months ago It feels like home again Awesome job Looking forward to coming around more often again Best place to be more ... hide ...
