When I initially moved in, there were no cockroaches, but within the last year, I have seen them (I'm very orderly and don't invite guests over). It appears they have been brought in by new tenants. Several of the new upgrades have been damaged by tenants. The so-called security is useless. Tenants keep the front door open or they prop something in it to keep it unlocked because they don't have keys (which is a safety risk). The swimming pool has been shut down since a few weeks after I moved in (and is still closed to this day). It seems the police visit here almost every week. Despite these issues, I do like my apartment. I am modifying this review. This place is a joke; it's amazing to me that memos can be sent out about towing people's cars for insignificant matters (they are money-hungry), yet I have yet to receive any notices about safety, thieving that occurs here, or the fact that it is OK for people to harm your car and nothing is done. The landlord is whining about flowers that are probably worth $10 in comparison to having to pay over $500 for car repairs. This will be my last year in this building. I'd rather move back to Chicago than stay here; at least MOST of their landlords treat all races EQUITABLY!more ...hide ...

The recent water main break, or so they say, happened around midnight on 18 October. ÂÂŹThey didnt inform the residents until 4:00 PM the next day that they were not going to have any water for about a week. Now, they had all day long to formulate a plan to relocate this building full of seniors, and I dont believe in the scenario that they put forth that this was a water main rupture at midnight the night before.Ÿ¤” The city was just as complicit in this fiasco as the building managers. They did not offer to do anything for the seniors until news services found out about the problem. Then all of a sudden, they had Red Cross on the way. So they waited all day and said nothing, until the end of the business day the next day to tell people to try to find some place to stay or they would be put up by the Red Cross on some cots some where.ÂźÂŸ¤ There were some of the seniors heading to hotels, some were going to stay with family, and others had no place to go. The facility has its own transportation, they should have been working all day long to secure blocks of rooms at local hotels to house the seniors. The way they dropped the ball was sinful.š  They had no consideration for these senior residents. Most of the residents cannot afford hotels, but they were renting those hotel rooms themselves€ The city shouldve been involved since it was their construction that caused the problem in the 1st place€They should have secured a temporary water line before they started pounding the mess out of the street€Lack of city planning is obvious—The city engineer needs to be given the boot.Ÿ‘¢ Ive been a facility engineer for many years, this sort of bumbling Three Stooges effort is so unprofessional that I cannot even find the words to describe it. Ÿ‘ŽThey need to be held accountable, and they need to make these senior citizens whole again.Ÿ‘ They deserve to be treated with respect and not treated like commodities!Ÿ¤”more ...hide ...
