It is tranquil and despite the fact that you live close to other individuals, it remains peaceful. The staff members responsible for maintenance are affable and usually complete tasks in a timely fashion. The only reasons I did not rate the area five stars are due to a few problems with the mail room and the laundry facilities. During my first half-year of stay, the mail room operated during office hours and that meant a lot of packages were delayed or not delivered. This was remedied afterwards. Furthermore, the laundry facilities were insufficient to begin with and had been out of service for four months starting at the beginning of the year which made it difficult to go to laundromats. This issue also has been sorted out (or is almost sorted out). Management is proactive and attempts to solve any difficulties, although it can take a while. I expect that by the time the next tenant occupies my space, all problems will be resolved. I am simply searching for a new place because my family is growing and I am moving closer to my job to reduce the length of my commute. Other than that, I would have renewed my lease as the atmosphere here is calm and pleasant. more ... hide ...

Toni has made the apartments much better than when she arrived. She shows professionalism, swiftness, and keeps communication lines open. She puts a lot of her energy into making sure the environment is secure and inviting for all tenants and frequently organizes community barbecues and breakfasts to strengthen the community. She has been incredible during my move out of South Bend for a new job - something I had to worry about the least was where I was going to live, since my lease had expired and I was waiting for news about a job. I'm sure she'll keep contributing to make the apartments a better place to live as long as she's around. The on-site handyman is also amazing - it's common to see him walking around the complex helping out tenants. I had the misfortune of locking myself out of my place at 8am on a Sunday, and he was at my door within 5 minutes to help me get back in. He does an excellent job too! All in all, it was a pleasant experience living here. The rate for a studio is affordable, the area is great, parking is abundant, and the community manager and on-site aid are both outstanding. The neighborhood is nice, there is a well-maintained common area and pool, plus barbecues and fire pits available for resident use more ... hide ...

2023-01-11T17:00:02ZI applied and was approved for a loft in this apartment, yet three weeks later I hadn't received any communication about the lease - they wouldn't pick up my calls either. Later, when they finally did pick up, they said their systems were malfunctioning and that's why no one contacted me. It would have been nice if they had told me that right away - why should I be the one to pursue them? The worst part came a month after: still no lease or confirmation of the apartment. So I decided to go with another option since time was running out; unsurprisingly, their customer service was much better as they sent me a lease within a day of approval and everything was resolved within a week as it should have been. A week after signing with the other place is when Vivo finally sent me theirs which I declined and asked for refund of admin fee (the application fee being non-refundable). They said they'd get back to me on that, but two weeks later there had been no response so I called in - only then did I find out that even the admin fee wasn't refundable, which is ridiculous considering all this mess was their fault! Even if it's not refundable though, why did it take them two weeks for them to notify me? Who knows what goes on in that office? Obviously can't say Vivo is bad since never lived there but based off how frustratingly bad leasing process has been so far would be wary of signing any agreements more ... hide ...
