The leasing manager was incredibly rude and often used profanity when speaking to tenants. They only plowed once throughout the entire winter season and neglected to put down ice on the sidewalks- leading to numerous people, myself included, slipping and falling. The maintenance team was comprised of untrained handymen who chose to repair rather than replace items. For example, after my fridge broke on a Friday, they decided to just "rig it" so that it would work, but the freezer temperature never dropped below 30 degrees. During the summer, my apartment was sweltering by 4 pm and the air conditioning was running, yet the management claimed that there was nothing to be done about it. My NIPSCO bill was an outrageous $400 after two months. In the winter, the heating was so inadequate that I could feel cold air coming in through the windows and sliding door. The washers and dryers were overpriced and regularly ate coins. Whenever one of them malfunctioned, they simply moved it in from another building. They would post notices with various regulations or alterations, threatening eviction or fines if they were not followed- such as parking two cars in front of the building. It was the worst experience I have ever had with renting and I will do anything to ensure that I never return.more ...hide ...
