- all amenities close very early or have very limited hours; the game room, the pool, the hot tub and others close at 9:00pm. There is an outdoor fireplace in the pool area that we were unable to use after 9:00pm. The game room doesn't open until 3:30 on some days and the ice skating closes at 6 I believe. This was very disappointing since we would go to the lake and go hiking during the day and then come back to the resort with nothing to do. This is the main reason for the 3 star review.
- customer service: our request for housekeeping was not fulfilled. We were placed in a room where they were doing construction which woke us up at 8am. They offered us another room but we didn't want to move all of our stuff. It would have been nice for them to have given us a discounted rate for the first night due to the inconvenience.
- very expensive
In conclusion, I would not recommend this hotel. It is exorbitant for what it offers, as most of the amenities require extra payment and are not available during the hours when people are typically at the hotel.more ...hide ...

We went to lunch there at Gretchens restaurant inside the resort I was surprised they only had 1 server She made it known that she was overwhelmed It looked like a manager was helping to clear dishes They both gave it their all and my dish was great We went to lunch there at Gretchens restaurant inside the resort I was surprised they only had 1 server She made it known that she was overwhelmed It looked like a manager was helping to clear dishes They both gave it their all and my dish was great but my mother had to try to scrape off part of her sandwich because it was too thick to take a bite out of I expect more from a resort of that calibermore ...hide ...

The management is wonderful and caring. The grounds are always beautiful. Close to the lake and only 1 block from the dentist, eye doctor and regular doctor office. 2 blocks to the credit union. Beautiful place to live!

Karen is a horrible person! I lived in Spencer housing and every time the wind blew trash on to the fence she would put it in my door step. She made it a horrible experience! She will lie and do whatever she can to stealKaren is a horrible person! I lived in Spencer housing and every time the wind blew trash on to the fence she would put it in my door step. She made it a horrible experience! She will lie and do whatever she can to steal money from You! Its been over five years and I am still dealing with this horrible woman. She told me that because I was not married me and my child would go to hell. She steals from people who can not afford to take her to court. Would not move to this place again if you paid me to.more ...hide ...
