The hostility the nurses have towards CNA staff is appalling, particularly the male night nurse. It is apparently forbidden to leave at the end of your shift when on the schedule, take a meal break, or even take a sip while working as you'll be accused of being lax. The patient restrooms are a nightmare to get into and out of and to help a resident. There are no handicap-accessible doors, and there are no cleaning items like cleaning spray or mop/bucket accessible to staff to aid in keeping the resident room tidy. I worked for this facility as a Medicalodge employee for five shifts before anyone noticed I was from Medicalodge and not an agency. The company does not provide any policies or contact numbers for management that are accessible to staff, either at the open nurses station or in a book. The facility is in desperate need of renovation and the sit-to-stand and Boyer lifts require major attention. Most of the resident beds are manual crank beds, and the rooms have big, outdated TVs with fuzzy images. Save yourself the shoulder pain and headache I experienced from being accused of being lax while sitting to chart or not caring for your residents when, in fact, all but two are asleep at the end of your shift due to the nurses' laziness and refusal to help with the physical labor of the residents.
