My mother Olympia joined the community four years ago. At first, adapting to the change was tough for her (as you would expect for any 96-year-old independent Italian lady), but she soon became a valuable part of the residence. She had four different executive directors while she was there, and was especially close with Todd Raymond, Renato DeLeon, and the current Maria Barbosa-Santos. She often commented on how wonderful they were. My mother recently passed away, and the care and compassion the staff of Evans Park showed was extraordinary. She wanted the individuals who attended to her to be acknowledged, and we have done our utmost to fulfill her wish. In her last days, her mind was still with us, but her body was shutting down (at 101.75). Despite this, with Ms. Barbosa-Santos's guidance, my family was provided with anything and everything we needed with kindness and compassion. The outpouring of love from the staff to my mother is something that our family will remember forever. If you are looking for a residence that will attend to and embrace a loved one, I strongly recommend Evans Park in Newton Corner.more ...hide ...
