When I called for information, the woman was lacking in details such as if it was a Level IV rest home. She only knew it wasn't a nursing home. The photos looked professional and I questioned if they were of real people living there and how recent the photos were taken. virtual tours are not available either, so what can be expected from this place? These places usually list everything as wonderful but what is their community store like? How experienced are the staff members? How often do medical personnel visit and what are their qualifications? Are activities directed by outside sources or students just doing it for credit? All these questions put Prospect House to the bottom of my list. At this price level professionals should be involved - ask lots of questions! Check out public bathrooms too - have been to places that aren't clean here. Also inquire about number of staff overnight, their protocol if someone goes missing, and when they would call police in that situation.more ...hide ...
I needed to find a memory care unit for my mom who has Alzheimers Dementia While I was researching I read the reviews for Prospect House but unfortunately did not pay attention to them I was so taken aback by the tour we had and all they promised thaI needed to find a memory care unit for my mom who has Alzheimers Dementia While I was researching I read the reviews for Prospect House but unfortunately did not pay attention to them I was so taken aback by the tour we had and all they promised that I decided to over look the bad reviews I am begging you to not do the same thing I did There is a reason there are bad reviews and they are true I have witnessed it first hand We moved my mom into Generations at Prospect House in June 2022 the first couple weeks were amazing but down hill very quickly there after Since then its been nothing short of living nightmare I would arrive to find my mom had not been showered and her hair would be so greasy Her bed would have urine stained sheets Her laundry would be over flowing with wet items in with the regular laundry causing everything to smell We were getting calls that she was falling every single day she never fell before she moved to Prospect All the falls were always unwitnessed Not sure how they were all unwitnessed when the unit is supposed to be staffed for 247 care They would send her to different hospitals for no reason She was not given her meds properly On more than one occasion I found her pill packs not even opened morning or night On occasion she was given no meds for 3 consecutive days When we asked the staff the director and executive director they could not explain how that happened On more than one occasion I arrived to find some of my moms pills either on the ground or in the trash Again with no explanation On more than one occasion the overnight checks were not done and were not signed off on Every time I went there my mom was alone in the dining room They hardly ever have activities going on The only activity I ever observed was watching people sing on You Tube My moms personal belongings were missing all the time Someone stole her cell phone Someone was drinking all her drinks The executive director is never on site Nurses are never visible No one is ever held accountable If they do respond to emails its saying we need to retrain our staff I cant even count how many times I heard that as an excuse I could go on and on but I think you get my point This is not a good option for memory care or any kind of care for that matter Shes only been there for two months and I am already looking for a new place to move her She is not safe her Its so sad as I never see family members for any of the other residents so they probably dont even know how their loved one is being treatedmore ...hide ...
My mom has been living here for over two years and we love the staff and any concern we ever had was immediately addressed I am very thankful for their kind and helpful staff
If you care about your family member do not choose this facility for them All the staff cares about is their paychecks which they 100 do not even earn My grandmother was in Generations and was not taken care of by the employees they did not help feedIf you care about your family member do not choose this facility for them All the staff cares about is their paychecks which they 100 do not even earn My grandmother was in Generations and was not taken care of by the employees they did not help feed her she was often left without her glasses on she very seldom was in her own clothes and the list goes on Towards the end of her stay there they would quite literally ship her off to different facilities and they very rarely had a reason why The managerial staff was even worse than the aids They were uncooperative greedy the facility can be best described as neglectful and a downright right sham This is not the place to trust to take care of your loved onemore ...hide ...
