My wife and I take utmost precaution when walking around, especially after nightfall, when Fulton Street - a street just a half block away - is usually bustling with people. Besides the occasional homeless person, we have not encountered any difficulties. The apartment building is quite unique; it was formerly the Medical Arts Building and is on the Registry of Historic Places. Maintenance and management have been nothing but accommodating whenever I've required assistance. One lesson that I've relearned while signing my new lease is to read it throughly, so that there are no unexpected surprises. I'm satisfied with what I can expect from The Lofts and what is expected of me. I'd recommend this apartment building to anyone looking for another option. I transferred from a rural home that was always a struggle to maintain. Since relocating, I've been able to find leisure activities instead of worrying about how to keep the lawnmower running. My two bedroom, two bathroom apartment features a laundry room and is part of a stunning building with two amazing lounges and plenty of seating. My renovated unit comes with sparkling white countertops and top-of-the-line Whirlpool appliances. The maintenance staff is always swift to respond when I have a light or any other issue. Additionally, I've never heard my neighbors through the walls, likely due to the thickness of them. Moreover, the energy-requiring devices have been upgraded to energy-efficient ones, resulting in our bills being very reasonable. I was in need of a place to move into within two weeks and Jill, the property manager, worked hard to make sure everything was in order in time. She genuinely cares about the building and tenants and is a major reason why I've enjoyed living here so much. Although parking is not available for everyone, I park on the street after 5 pm (which is free) and there is always free parking a block away. The only problem I've encountered is that the windows can get cold in the winter, as they appear to be original and a bit dirty. more ... hide ...
