I've been a resident of the Strathmore since it first opened in 2016, and I can't envision relocating anywhere else! I'm very fond of my flat and all of its features (dishwasher, full-size in-unit washer/dryer, AC, and so on). I'm very fond of my flat and all of its features (dishwasher, full-size in-unit washer/dryer, AC, and so on). Some have brought up high electrical bills during the winter months. I noticed that if I set mine up on an auto-schedule to reduce the energy level during the night and when I'm at work, it keeps the costs low. Mostly, there's only one month in winter when the bill is high, and this year that period was during the polar vortex. The building is always clean - the windows were recently washed, too. The Building Manager is affable and helpful. She's constantly aware of what's going on in the building and making sure it's secure. All my service requests are taken care of punctually with updates. The apartment is also quite tranquil; I never hear any other residents' noises. I'm always comparison shopping for apartments in the area, and this one is the best value with all the amenities. The location is fantastic - there's so much to do, eat, and shop within walking distance. As far as safety is concerned, both the Wayne State Police and Detroit Police patrol this area.
