Each unit has central air and heat, balcony or patio, washer/dryer, granite countertops and kitchen island, as well as large oval tubs. The amenities are limited but include a fitness center, package room (controlled access), party room, car wash station, heated underground parking (for an extra fee) along with storage lockers. It's across from Richfield Lake which is nice for walking; also two blocks away from Wood Lake Nature Preserve. Mark and Missy do all the maintenance here and tenants are friendly; maintenance responds quickly if any issues arise (which isn't often). Property managers come and go but Emma has been consistent thus far. Mark does annual inspections/cleanings of HVAC units while also having an annual deep cleaning of the underground parking garage done by professionals. Parking can be an issue due to city restrictions on street parking but if you get one of the assigned spaces in the underground lot you won't have any worries. If one is to converse with management in a respectful and peaceful manner rather than screaming, it will help in settling grievances or complaints. I have been a resident here for 12 years. Is Susan strict? Yes, but the predicaments she was faced with when she arrived could have driven anyone mad. In just a little over 3 years, this building has had nine managers. The ones we had in those 3 years stayed behind closed doors, so in effect, the tenants ran this building as they wished. They are not accustomed to having an appropriate manager, and those who have posted comments here saying everyone dislikes Susan are incorrect. We needed some regulations, and if one is warned multiple times about an issue, such as no smoking in the building, and they still do it, they merit eviction, or much worse that has gone unpunished in the past. I try to stay away from the chaos, but it incenses me that they are trying to blame a manager who is attempting to make this a better place, and she is a kind person. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is due to nothing Susan has done, and they are gradually making changes to the building and security.more ...hide ...
