The apartments are spacious and come furnished with basic everyday items a family would need moving onto a new apartment. There are onsite social workers to help you as much as you need it not at all. And there is a Tots program that offers free child care for up to four hours a day. This is a secured building where guests must sign in and provide identification. This helps keep the building safe and quite for residents. Just like any other apartment building in America, it has its issues. People coming off the streets and out of homelessness are bound to have some baggage but if you mind your business it will remain theirs. I have never seen children beaten or prostitution happening or much of anything referred to in previous reviews, most likely the previous review is an evicted tenant seeking revenge.Gage East provides hope and stability to people seeking to change their lives.more ...hide ...

Moved here at age of 26 on 02/2016 from previous low-income housing property. When I toured Northgate property I knew it was a bad fit/property before being forced to sign leasing agreement (by Guardianship). Could tell that the on-site Management at that time was lying to get me to sign or at least convince my Guardians same lies to force me to sign; one lie as \"Theres a bunch of people around your age here\". Im the youngest to live here since I moved in & the property is 151 units with approx. 90% being seniors, so the only way that would of worked is if the age group considered \"my age\" were all those under 55 (which is less than 1.5 dozen). So I automatically suspected the Management got some sort of commission/bonus for every leasing agreement signed. The previous on-site Management was selective when it came to overall rule enforcement & picked favorites. There were times when the property would have problems such as: Vandalism, Domestic Disturbances, Noise Complaints, severe destruction of Northgate property & ETC that would continually happen (at times by same residents in short spans) and if you were one the previous on-site management favorites; you got away with it. The on-site management continually turned a blind eye on it so the favorites could keep doing that, if you were not one of the favorites you would get strikes/kicked out.In 07/2016 Northgate property got bought by Titan Investments & the new owners decided to have remodeling work done late 08/2016 by Kraus Anderson & was announced to be done end of 04/2017. Residents were given a phase list of the work to be done (inaccurate 2-3 months into project) & the owners had an orientation meeting with the residents on the overall project for opinions. Seeing how the property operated I strongly knew Titan was only doing this so that the Management could just throw Northgates motto \"You Dont Like It, Leave\" at them (which they did). Which Is why I decided not to bother attending knowing residents opinions are not going to matter unless it benefits Titan/Northgate financially in the long term because residents will just come and go. The majority of the project didnt get done till end of 06/2017 & still to this day has leftover work sitting gathering dust in certain areas of property.New management (off-site) took over on 04/2017 at last 1/4 of remodeling. When new management took over it went from selective managing to barely managing (here 1/2 the advertised office hours; Titan could save $$$ + residents would get same results with an mannequin in the office chair or by getting rid of Management position in the property). Property staff work ethic nowadays is doing bare-minimum/half-ass jobs. Ive brought up many issues with the previous management, current management, Maintence staff & even a Kraus Anderson supervisor during the remodeling and nothing happened & continued all the way until I moved out. An example: I brought up (again) issue of remodeling damage caused by Kraus Anderson & told on 10/09/17 by ownership/ management I would know on 10/11/17 who and when it would be fixed... and still waiting (100+ days past due all the way to my moving out). I was told on 10/09/17 I would know within 1 month the results of 2 issues brought up (out of many); I wasnt notified until 2 days past due & I suspected both were \"no\" to avoid work. Brought up many issues with the owners (Titan) + Management and responding to 75% brought up, received vague/generalized answers to avoid the issues pointed out.Because how Northgate operates & property staff/ownership responds to the issues, Im taking before/after photos of my unit countering Titans lie: \"We dont have any work orders for your unit\". Cant try to take it out of my deposit (will TRY to do).Residents threated get kicked out bringing up issues because ownership/property doesnt want to do anything revolving work fixing any issues. Folks getting kicked out can still contact City/State living elsewhere.more ...hide ...

There are garages available once there is one open for you to use. I also like there is a laundry room onsite along with big dumpsters that get dumped twice a week.more ...hide ...
