I recently visited a senior living facility and had a few clients there. Whenever I go, the building is always well-maintained and the common areas are taken care of. The apartments are a good size for seniors and are relatively easy to clean, although the occupant should either be capable of living independently or with assistance from family/friends or a home health care aide. My clients have not said anything negative about living in the building, and I have noticed management present in the office on my visits, as well as signs and a calendar of activities. It is important to be mindful of your surroundings when approaching the building as the neighborhood is not the safest. However, I have never had any problems during my visits. Entry to the building is secured and requires dialing the person you are visiting before being allowed in. Overall, this is a nice, secure building for seniors or those with disabilities, although they must be largely independent.
